TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not make it safe. It does factor into how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
